The Jayhawks Rising Strategic Alignment Model represents the structure and flow of the strategic plan for KU's Lawrence and Edwards campuses. It is inspired by our vision to be an exceptional learning community that lifts each member and advances society. Three mission-based institutional priorities provide the overarching framework: Student Success, Healthy & Vibrant Communities, andResearch & Discovery. Each of the 13 objectives has an identified set of strategies to be implemented at the institutional level, and units are further developing strategies specific to their discipline. This comprehensive strategic alignment—from our overall vision to the dozens of detailed unit activities—is at the heart of our success as an AAU research-intensive institution.
