Healthy & Vibrant Communities
We strive to build and support a community that fosters the well-being of all Jayhawks – students, staff, faculty, affiliates, and guests. KU actively aligns resources and expertise with larger community partners to create healthy and vibrant communities that improve the quality of life of those on campus, within the state, and around the world.

Workplace diversity
Underrepresented Minority (URM) Faculty/Staff
KU works to adopt hiring and workplace practices that encourage and support members of under-represented minorities. It is our goal to have a population of diverse faculty and staff. It is also important that members of a URM feel they are respected and included members of the University.
Faculty Gender Ratio
The University of Kansas seeks to understand what the causes of faculty gender ratio variations are across campus and specific to departments. Once understood, we will adjust practices to ensure that ratios reflect the diverse community we work to create.
